Brand-new floral hair pieces have graced the Market shelves in honor of La Vie en Rose! While flower crowns have been popular for centuries, we see throughout history their popularity rise and fall as trends, ceremonies, and cultures change and evolve. However, one of the points of re-emergence of the flower crown was in the Victorian Era. Queen Victoria was a fashion and trend icon during her reign. Most notably, she wore a white dress in her wedding to Prince Albert. A white wedding dress has now become the traditional choice for a bride, all because Queen Victoria made a daring choice! Another fashion statement that she made on her wedding day was a flower crown. A beautiful, simple wreath of orange blossoms graced her head. This idea was borrowed from China, but as soon as Queen Victoria donned that crown, all of Europe was on board with the trend!
