Fairies have always been welcomed guests here at The St. James Tearoom. Though they may have a long-standing history of mischief, our proprietress Mary Alice is an expert in creating beautiful spaces for these little sprites. While the origin of fairies has many stories and legends, we particularly love Barrie’s ideas on the subject. “When the first baby laughed for the first time, his laugh broke into a million pieces, and they all went skipping about. That was the beginning of fairies.” An origin of pure joy and fun! Currently in our St. James Market, we have chairs, wheelbarrows, tables, and other delightfully tiny supplies to make a little fairy-welcome garden of your own!
