An Earl Grey black tea loyal to tradition with a debonair nod to modern times, this tea incorporates the smoothness of chocolate and fragrance of rose. Just decadent enough to be accompanied by an exclamation of, “Golly gumdrops!”

Basic
water at a rolling boil (~212° F)
1 tsp tea leaves per 6 oz. water (standard teacup)
~ 4 1 ⁄2 minutes: Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!
milk and white or brown sugar will complement
Connoisseur
water at a rolling boil (~212° F)
1 1⁄2 even Tbsp tea leaves (32 oz. water / medium-sized teapot)
1 3⁄4 even Tbsp tea leaves (48 oz. water / large-sized teapot)
~ 2 minutes: pause timer, drain tea strainer, return, continue steeping
~ 4 minutes: start tasting every 15 seconds, steeping to your preference
~ 4 1 ⁄2 minutes: recommended steep time for “Earl of Grantham” Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!

Tea Tip: Taste by pouring only a quarter inch of tea into the cup.
