October 2017 – Shannon

Shannon, recognized as one of our September Superheroes, was chosen Employee of the Month for October 2017. In her dual role as a Server and Reservationist, she excelled in keeping a fabulous attitude during the greatest September our Tearoom has had in seventeen years. “Recipes from the Wizarding World,” an employee-driven menu theme, brought a record number of guests to tea at a time when a new reservation system was being implemented! Shannon’s ability to remain calm, cheerful, kind, and extremely helpful was just what her fellow employees needed to allow them to contribute to our goal of blessing, encouraging, and valuing the great number of guests served through the art of tea. Shannon’s hard work is always done with love, acceptance, and encouragement that can be felt by many. When assigning tasks to the newest of Servers, she uses her expertise to gently guide and instruct them. She is willing to work beyond her shifts and takes on extra shifts with joy and a notable positivity. This makes her an amazing person to work with, both behind the scenes taking reservations and in the heart of serving tea.
