December 2017 – Mary
Mary loves being employed at The St. James Tearoom; she has been serving guests here since March 2016 and hopes to be a part of the Tearoom family for the rest of her life! Mary was a semi-regular guest when she saw an advertisement for servers and knew she had to apply.
Mary is studying radiology technology at PIMA Medical Institute with a projected graduation date of August 2019. In her limited free time Mary enjoys hanging out with her family and her dog. She is tickled to be chosen as Employee of the Month because she thinks it is a lovely thing to work with fantastic guests, awesome management, and great teammates in a place where Grace, Civility, Beauty, Gentility, and Excellence are found, not to mention the fine furniture and exquisite china settings!
Mary began 2017 as our January Employee of the Month and has used her position as a Chief Server to guide and encourage fellow workers, recently taking the initiative to train new Servers to ensure a smooth-running crew for our very busy holiday season. Mary has been described as “a ray of sunshine” whose lovely smile shines on guests and coworkers alike. Mary is always willing to participate in our special events, such as our annual Masquerade Ball, and she enjoys facilitating our Hogwarts’ Readers and Literary League Teas.
