Spring Grove
Let the flavors of spring linger all year round with the refreshing medley of sweet peaches, refreshing mint, and a hint of lime. This black tea is especially delightful when enjoyed iced on a warm spring day!
Steeping Directions
Learn how to make “Spring Grove” to enjoy at home!
Basic
water at a rolling boil (~212° F)
1 tsp tea leaves per 6 oz. water (standard teacup)
~ 3 1/2 minutes: Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!
white sugar will complement, but this tea does not take milk
Tea Tip: For fullest flavor, use a tea strainer with enough room to allow the tea leaves to open as they steep.
Iced
water at a rolling boil (~212° F)
5 Tbsp tea leaves (2 qt. pitcher)
~ 3 1/2 minutes: Drain tea strainer
white sugar to sweeten, stirred in while hot
Chill and/or add ice cubes, serve, and enjoy!
Tea Tip: To avoid diluting your iced tea, make the ice cubes out of the tea you are preparing!
Connoisseur
water at a rolling boil (~212° F)
1 1⁄2 heaping Tbsp tea leaves (32 oz. water / medium-sized teapot)
2 heaping Tbsp tea leaves (48 oz. water / large-sized teapot)
~ 2 minutes: pause timer, drain tea strainer, return, continue steeping
~ 3 minutes: start tasting every 15 seconds, steeping to your preference
~ 3 1/4 minutes: recommended steep time for “Spring Grove.” Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!
white sugar will complement, but this tea does not take milk
Tea Tip: Taste by pouring only a quarter inch of tea into the cup.
