Silky Iced Black Pearl Tea
Looking for a chilled treat for the summer heat? Black Pearl is a scented black tea with white jasmine blossoms and rich vanilla, and it turns silky smooth in this short and sweet iced tea recipe. Keep the ingredients on hand, and you’ll have an instant treat to share with a friend anytime, without ever having to leave the house! Or prepare it in mason jars like we did in the pictures for the most refreshing picnic drink.
Yields 8 oz.
What you’ll need:
- 1 heaping tsp. Black Pearl loose leaf tea
- Tea infuser
- 8 oz. boiling water (~212°F)
- 2 tsp. half-and-half
- 2 tsp. maple syrup
- Ice
Instructions:
- Using the tea infuser, steep 1 heaping tsp. of Black Pearl in 8 oz. of boiling water for 3 1/4 minutes. Drain tea infuser or tea leaves from tea. Wait for tea to cool down before chilling to preserve flavor. Chill.
- Pour the maple syrup over the ice. Add the tea and the half-and-half. (Our favorite iced tea tip: Make ice cubes out of the tea you’ll be drinking so that your tea doesn’t get watered down with regular ice cubes when serving!)
