Steeping Directions

Learn how to make “Margaret’s Orchard” to enjoy at home!

Basic

water at a simmer or a rolling boil (~180-212° F)

1 tsp tea leaves per 6 oz. water (standard teacup)

~ 2 1 ⁄4 minutes: Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!

white sugar will complement, but this tea does not take milk.

Tea Tip: When preparing for children, steep with water at a simmer so it is not too hot for young mouths.

Iced

 water at a rolling boil (~212° F)

4 Tbsp tea leaves (2 qt. pitcher)

 ~ 2 1 ⁄4 minutes: Drain tea strainer

white sugar to sweeten, stirred in while hot

Chill and/or add ice cubes, serve, and enjoy!

Tea Tip: To avoid diluting your iced tea, make the ice cubes out of the tea you are preparing!
