Iced Garden Bouquet Tea with Mango Nectar Recipe for Iced Tea Month

Iced Garden Bouquet Tea with Mango Nectar Recipe

By The St. James Tearoom
Garden Bouquet is a delicate green tea reminiscent of a fragrant garden with cornflowers, safflowers, and rose petals, including added hints of fruity delights of apricot and mango. We have added sweet mango nectar to this recipe in order to enhance summer flavors for a refreshing iced tea.

Iced Garden Bouquet Tea with Mango Nectar

Makes 32 oz. (4 cups)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons of loose leaf Garden Bouquet tea
  • 4 cups (32 oz.) water
  • Mango nectar

Other supplies:

  • Tea strainer/infuser or disposable tea bags
  • Ice cube tray(s)
  • Pitcher (glass recommended)

Instructions:

  1. Fill ice cube trays with mango nectar and freeze until they are frozen into ice cubes (overnight recommended).
  2. Steep loose leaf tea in simmering water (180-190 degrees) for 2 3/4 minutes. Do not use boiling water on green tea or the tea will taste burned.
  3. Strain tea or remove tea infuser/bag. Let it cool down at room temperature before chilling (to preserve more flavor), then chill for at least 4-6 hours.
  4. Gently pour in mango nectar ice cubes into the pitcher of chilled Garden Bouquet and serve!

Enjoy!
