Peach Iced Tea Recipe with Peaches Promenade and Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
Prep Time: 15 minutes + chilling overnight
Makes 2 gallons
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. of our Peaches Promenade loose leaf tea
- tea bags
- one 2-gallon-sized dispenser with lid
- cold, filtered water
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
- Divide the loose leaf tea into tea bags; we used 8 bags of 1.5 oz each.
- Fill the dispenser with 2 gallons of cold filtered water. Hang the tea bags along the side of the dispenser in the water; be sure to keep the open tops of the bags secured with the dispenser’s lid to avoid spilling the loose leaves into the water directly. Refrigerate overnight for 12 hours.
- Bring water and sugar to a simmer in a medium saucepan on medium-high heat, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Let cool before refrigerating overnight.
- Remove tea bags after 12 hours. For sweetened tea, stir the brown sugar simple syrup directly into the tea, or serve on the side.
Enjoy!
St. James Iced Tea Secret:
Wondering about the color of the ice cubes in the photo? We made the ice cubes out of the same tea we iced! This is one of our oldest tricks to keep your tea from watering down with normal ice cubes. Brew hot tea for the ice cubes at least one night before. Let the tea cool before pouring into ice cube trays. Put your trays in the freezer until your ice cubes are frozen and ready to serve.
