Be Featured on The St. James Tearoom Social Media!
Share a photo of your children and pets during our “Neverland Adventure” menu for the chance to be featured on our social media stories! Wendy, John, and Michael all have a special connection with Nana, their Newfoundland nanny in the story of Peter Pan. Originally the Darling family had only modest income and could not bear the expense of a human nanny. Nana was discovered in a park, irritating the other nannies as she would peek her head into the prams to glimpse all the children, for whom she cared deeply. Nana served her duties nobly, perhaps being a kinder and more caring nanny for the children than a human ever could. The love and kindness Nana showed to the children was reciprocated by them, their connection and bond undeniable. As we travel to Neverland we want to celebrate that special relationship between people and their pets.

Featured Drink: Crocodile Tears Tea Shot
Tick tock, tick tock, no need to beware this croc! The infamous crocodile Tick-Tock in J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan helped reinforce the theme of time being feared in the land where you never have to grow up. The sound of a ticking clock was something to be afraid of since it meant the vicious crocodile who had swallowed one was nearby.
We’ve turned to this character for inspiration this menu as we worked to create a brand-new featured drink exclusively for “A Neverland Adventure!” Expertly blended green and matcha teas mingle with the island flavor of coconut. Topped with a luxurious layer of rich cream, Crocodile Tears Tea Shot is sure to satisfy.

Exclusive Tea: Second Star to the Right
The journey to Neverland is a one unique to each visitor, but one thing is for certain: it always involves the Second Star to the Right! This menu’s Market Exclusive tea will help guide us along our travels. No matter your age the prospect of adventure is appealing, which is perhaps why Peter Pan has captured the hearts of readers for over a century. With the night sky holding so many fascinating secrets and perhaps being the one thing we may never fully unlock the mystery of, J.M. Barrie’s choice to use them as navigation markers in his story only add to the intrigue!
This month’s Market Exclusive tea will appeal to your imagination as well as your taste. A night sky of black tea twinkling with marshmallows, caramel, toffee bits, and even a touch of pixie dust! Available to sample and purchase in our Market July 2nd – July 28th.
Tips from a Tea Master: Catalina
A lot goes into the perfect cup of tea. Today’s tip on how to brew the ideal cup comes from Catalina, the Tearoom’s Service Operations Manager:
“One of my favorite things to enjoy during the summer is iced tea. To make it even better I add lemonade, making my own “Arnold Palmer.” Blueberry Festival is my go-to tea for this creation; it’s a great balance of black and green tea that complements the lemonade perfectly. But don’t forget the sugar!”
