6th Annual Cigar Tea
Our annual fall Cigar Tea has become such a favorite with our guests that we have decided to add a second one in the spring each year, making this our 6th Annual Cigar Tea! Spring is a lovely time to gather on the patio as the sun sets, offering a chance for cigar enthusiasts to enjoy an evening complete with a full three-course tea for dinner, fine cigars, a sampling of fortified wines such as Sherry, Port, and Madeira, and of course, great conversation. Due to limited space available, call for your reservation soon!
$47 per person, tax and gratuity included (this includes Cigars and Wine Sampling)
The St. James Tearoom of Albuquerque is proud to announce the new "Pink Tea," a special individual presentation of tea designed to inspire, reward, and encourage breast cancer patients and survivors. The tea, made by reservation, is the same cost as the regular full British tea that the St. James is so famous for, but with some extras. The first pot of tea poured out will actually be a pink tea, and the table will be specially decorated in a pink theme, with an inspirational scroll as a take home favor to the honoree.
Reservations will start in January of 2008, and will be available throughout the year. It has been suggested by friends of cancer survivors that sometimes a gift card given by another to the survivor would be especially helpful and thoughtful, so we are offering those for sale at our Cherriwyn China Shop.
An Evening with Jane Austen
"Good opinion once lost, is lost forever." --Pride and Prejudice
Come and share your passion for the writings of Miss Austen in true Regency form...over afternoon tea! Maggie Reysen and Diana Dorland, from the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA), New Mexico Region, will provide an amusing evening filled with Jane Austen's wit and wisdom. Jane Austen is considered one of the foremost writers of the early 19th century, and her popularity is at its zenith. Ms. Reysen will help us ponder the question of why Austen's work still appeals almost 200 years after she wrote such classics as Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. Among the evening's activities will be an opportunity for you to test your knowledge of Austen's famous characters and perhaps try your hand at a dramatic or comic reading. Guests are encouraged (though not required) to dress in Regency style.
$38 per person, tax and gratuity included
